2.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #30 of 46):  Shamokin P.O., Coal Twp., Northumberland Co., PA, Roll M653_1149, p. 117, PN 133, 967/931, enumerated 12 Jul 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
William B Doutty 23 M   Merchant   4500 Pa
John B Doutty 48 M   Coal Opperator   300 NY
Lavi??   " 46 F         Pa
Anna     " 17 F         "
William's middle initial is clearly "B."  And I wonder… It's very odd that William is listed before his parents.  It would be less odd if William were married.  Has the enumerator erred by omitting Dorothea?  The reason I suspect such might be the case is that I can't find Dorothea in the 1860 census.

3.  1870 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #30 of 168):  Shamokin P.O., Shamokin Borough, Northumberland Co., PA, Roll M593_1384, p. 106B, PN 30, enumerated 13 Jul 1870, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1870 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•
