Elisha & Julia (THOMPSON) DODSON are John's (and Nancy's) parents. But I don't get this. John is married to Sallie (and she's age 20, not 30); and Nancy is married to Hope, who is Sallie's brother (he's 26, no6 24, and born in MS, not KY). Did the enumerator simply give precedence to John's and Nancy's status as Elisha's children over their being married to their spouses?

Has John remarried? Or is Sallie simply telling a whopping fib about her age (she's 30, not 20)? And, of course, her birthplace is wrong and so are her parents' birthplaces. Or is this all enumerator error? (Nancy's age is wrong, too).
