Edmund DEDMAN
Elizabeth CORBIN
Husband:  Edmund / Edmond DEDMAN / DEADMAN
Birth:  25 Mar 1724, Baltimore Co., MD
Death:  Aug 1813, Rowan [now Davie] Co., NC
Disposition:  buried Deadman Cemetery, Mocksville, Davie Co., NC
Father:  Thomas James DEDMAN II (1690-1771)
Mother:  Sarah EDMOND (1700-1770)
Marriage:  30 Jan 1753, St. John's Episcopal Church, Baltimore Co., MD
Wife:  Elizabeth CORBIN
Birth:  27 Nov 1734, Baltimore Co., MD
Death:  1810, Rowan [now Davie] Co., NC
Disposition:  buried Deadman Cemetery, Mocksville, Davie Co., NC

WARNING:  I have found no proof that these are Elizabeth's parents.
Father said to beNicholas Z. CORBIN
Mother said to beEleanor __?__

Children:
WARNING:  I have no proof these are their children, all sources are secondary and/or circumstantial.

— born in Baltimore Co., MD:
1.  Mary "Polly" DEDMAN
2.  Elizabeth DEDMAN, b. ca. 1756
3.  Eleanor "Nellie" DEDMAN, b. 1758; d. 1848, Bath Co., KY
4.  Temberance DEDMAN, b. 17 Feb 1763

— born in NC:
5.  Elijah Corbin DEDMAN, b. 5 Mar 1772; d. 7 Jul 1849, Shelby Co., KY
6.  William DEDMAN, b. 1774; will probated 14 Jul 1837, Davie Co., NC; m. Blanche __?__
7.  Rebecca Rachel DEDMAN, b. 5 Oct 1778; d. 29 Jan 1852, Murrayville, Hall Co., GA
8.  Comfort DEDMAN, b. ca. 1782

  • Having a child in 1782 is stretching Elizabeth's span of fecundity to the limit.  Is Comfort's birthyear really correct?  Is she really their daughter?
  • If Elizabeth's father was Nicholas Z. CORBIN, it's odd that they named a son, "Elijah Corbin DEDMAN."
  • Some secondary sources show their son, William, as William Lane CORBIN (b. 1760), who married 13 Mar 1783 in South Reading, Middlesex Co., MA, to Mary GREEN (1757- ); based on geography, such a connection seems highly unlikely.
