This record is hard to figure, beyond Mathew being Jacob's son from his previous marriage.  The SMITH children are probably Barbara's from her previous marriage.  Ethalwile(?) and Hiram may Jacob's niece and nephew, but they cannot be his children because neither appeared in his household in any earlier census.

It's odd that Levi isn't labeled.  Matilda is obviously Barbara's child from a former marriage, but it's odd that she would be surnamed "Cupp" — unless Barbara's first husband was also a CUPP.
