Biological Child with Wife-2(?) or an Adopted(?) Child: |
6. Elizabeth CORBIN, b. 1922/3, MD
Elizabeth was born after the death of Nellie MIDDLETON, but before James's marriage to Marie PICKEN. One would suspect she is Marie's child from a former marriage, except that in the 1930 census, Marie gives her age at first marriage as 31. Unless the enumerator erred in entering her age at second marriage, instead of her age at first marriage, she wouldn't appear to be Elizabeth's mother; but, in which case, she should have been labeled stepdaughter, not daughter. On the other had, if she was James's daughter from an unknown second marriage, why was she not simply listed in chronological order with James's other children? Another explanation is that she was adopted, but if so, why was she not labeled as adopted? |
Child with Marion Marie PICKEN — born in MD, presumably Worcester Co., MD: |
7. Charles A. CORBIN, b. 1926/7
The above Charles is almost certainly this one, but we need confirmation:
