8.  Mea culpa, I forgot to note my source on this one.  From a message board or email most likely.
This James Carrico's last child was named James M. IV, making the father the III, although nowhere have we ever seen him designated that way.  Obviously, there were two previous James.  In comparing James III with the James in Washington Co., KY, who was married to Joanna (Keith), we came to the conclusion that James and Joanna's son James could not be the same as our James.  James son of James and Joanna was not of age in his father's 1814 Wash. Co. will, prob. in Dec. 1815 in Wash. Co. which would make him born after 1793 if 21 was "of age"

Our James was b. ca. 1781 in Charles Co., MD and d. 8 Apr 1851 age 70 and is buried at St. Catharine Cemetery, Nelson Co., KY.  I have references on all of this and copies of marriage certificates on James two marriages.

I agree that our subject is not the James CARRICO who was son of James T. CARRICO & Johanna KEITH, because their son James was born between 1800 and 1810.
