Mother:  Margaret __?__
Wife:  Winifred / Winefride "Kitty" PADGETT / PADGET / PAGET / PAGETT

Death:  aft. 1823, presumably in KY
Children unproven born in Charles Co., MD:
WARNINGI've yet to find anything to prove the identities of our subject's children; the ones listed below are those asserted by secondary sources

2.  William CARRICO, b. 1770-74

8.  Messages in the Carrico Family Genealogy Forum (online at GenForum.com), including one with the following source:  In the 3 Mar 1795 edition of the Columbian Chronicle (newspaper), Sharon Brhamstadt found this reference:
Bartholomew Carrico's Tavern in Charles Co., about 3 miles from below Piscataway.
Piscataway is in Prince Georges County, in the southeast corner, not far from the county line with Charles County.  The census agrees that, in 1790, Barton was in Prince Georges County.

Why the "marriage record" doesn't contain the date of the marriage or the surname of the bride is a bit of a mystery.
