7.  J. Wilbur Jacoby, ed.  1907.  History of Marion County, Ohio, and Representative Citizens.  Biographical Publ. Co., Chicago (online at Heritage Pursuit). Biographical sketch of our subject's son, Samuel B. CREASAP.  The bio states that Daniel CREASAP came to Ohio with his parents when he was about 16 yrs old (i.e., ca. 1833), but this does not jibe with the birthplaces of Daniel and his siblings as given in the 1850 and 1860 censuses.

9.  Email from Thomas Greenland (20 Sep 2000).  For reasons unknown, Ellen (MARTIN) GREENLAND left her husband in Huntingdon Co., PA, and moved to Marion Co., OH.  The 1880 Census shows Ellen had three children with Daniel CREASAP:  Jess, age 6; Doris, age 4; Edward, age 2.  Says Ellen's tombstone is unreadable, except for her first name; her stone is next to Daniel's, which is readable.
