*This enumerator tended to leave the tops of lowercase "g" open, however, that would only make it, "Margette," but then, he was in generally careless about spelling.  Deborah is presumably Margarette's sister.

8.  Daryl Coup's KAUB Family web site, at which he gives this bio, but with a source that cannot possibly be the one (viz., Hardesty's 1875 Historical Atlas of the World).  The source is most likely a history of Seneca County.
Rev. John Coup and his wife were born in Seneca County, Ohio, the former in Adams Township, July 13, 1842; the latter in Bloom township, June 20, 1848.  Rev. Coup is a son of Levi and Maria Coup, who came from Pennsylvania and settled in Seneca County.  They had twelve children -- Mary, Sarah (deceased), John, Parmela, Hannah (deceased), William, Rebecca, Franklin (deceased), Amadelle, Thomas, George (deceased), and Martha.  Franklin, at the age of three years, was taken sick, and lost his mind.  He lived to be nineteen years old.  His mind returned a few moments before he died.  Mrs. Coup was a daughter of George and Sabine Beaver, who died in Seneca County.  They had ten children -- Eliza, Solomon, Melissa, Samuel, Joseph, Henry, Gideon, Lovina, Sarah, and Amanda.  Solomon, Henry, and Eliza Beaver are dead.  Rev. Coup has four children -- Birdie, Martha, Virgil, and Retta.  Mr. Coup acted as chaplain of Company "K", 164th Regiment, during five months of the war of the rebellion.
