Abbreviations:   W F = West Fork of Red River, now in Todd Co.
As expected, James drops off the Christian Co. tax rolls when Todd Co. is formed in 1820.  His father had died in 1815; it's possible he was being exempted from taxes.  The only other possibility I can think of is that his birthdate is wrong and that he was not yet over 21.
