There may be two different William G. CLIFTONs being mixed up here, along with two different RICHARDSON women. These are not my ancestors, so there's a limit to how much time I'm willing to spend on the page, which means I have not finished this page, I have merely stopped working on it. Where did all these children come from? Has he adopted the two WILLIS children who were next door in 1870? Are Martha and Louisa also WILLIS children? Listed next to John CLIFTON (æ 83, b. SC, miller) and his wife, Annie (æ 66, b. SC), whom I would have taken for our subject's parents, but secondary sources say, no.
