Robert W. CLARK
Birth: 1846, Washington, Virginia
Death: 08 Apr 1857, Washington, Virginia
Father: James A. CLARK; Mother: Mary M. NEWHOUSE

It's possible that Robert W. is William, but not if he died in 1857 or was born and died in Virginia, because our subjects' children were all born in Indiana and their son William was still living in 1860.

This may be the worst example I've ever seen of incorrectly lumping people together just because they have the same name.  These are three different James CLARKs.  Robert is not with our subjects in 1850, and even if we assume he's Robert William, our subject's son, William, is still alive in 1860, so he cannot be the one who died in 1857.
