Jabez B. CASHION
Amelia McLEARY
Elizabeth M. STROUD
WARNING:  I have no direct proof that the Jabez CASHION who married Amelia McLEARY is the son of Jabez & Martha (POWERS) CASHION, nor do I have direct proof this same Jabez CASHION is the one who later married Elizabeth STROUD in Clark Co., AR.  The evidence for these connections is circumstantial, but Jabez CASHION is an extremely rare name, and the facts do fit.

"Jabus" is a common phonetic misspelling of the scriptural name, "Jabez."

J.W.'s age has to be wrong because surely these are Elizabeth's orphaned brothers — their parents have died since the 1860 census.  The fact that Lucy is surnamed POWERS suggests a connection to Jabez's alleged mother, Martha (POWERS) CASHION.

Inscription [ said to read ]
"dau of Wm H & Elizabeth McLeary"

The monument is tall with a lengthy inscription, but it's surface is covered in moss and unreadable in the photo.  Could it possibly also say that she was the wife of J.B. CASHION?  Everything else fits.
