7.  Ira B. Brown.  14 Apr 1898.  Affidavit.  Dept. of the Interior, Bureau of Pensions, Washington, DC.  Lists surviving children and their dates of birth.  Gives Wallace's date of birth as 25 Dec 1864.

8a.  Death Certificate:  Wallace Milton Brown.  Louisiana State Board of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics. Reg. Dist. No. 65053, File No. 83, Reg. No. 8699.  Filed 1 Aug 1923.  Informant:  S.H. Brown of DeRidder, La. [decedant's brother, Samuel Holt Brown].  Samuel gives date of birth as 25 Dec 1863, but the date given by Wallace's father in his pension affidavit is almost certainly the more reliable one.  Wallace is stated to be a widower, late wife named Anna Sullivan, but is she the woman from whom he was divorced by 1900?  Occupation farmer.  Resided DeRidder three years.
