Many secondary sources have our subject married twice, first to "Bridget" and second to Martha (EATON) OLDHAM, however, please note that both Torrey and Savage (see below) consider them two different men, as I believe they have to be two men because 1) Thomas BROWN, husband of Bridget, died in 1688 and our subject signed his will in 1690; 2) Bridget didn't die until 1681, yet our subject married Martha in 1656; and 3) our subject's will mentions only Martha's children, not Bridget's. |
