Except for Joseph BYERS, the older children appear to be from Elizabeth's prior marriage to Samuel MYERS. Barbara "Barbary" (KOPP) LEFTER is Elizabeth's mother. Back then, "Ia," was the abbreciation for Indiana, not Iowa.

As of 24 Sep 2018, there are two files here including James BYERS and a wife, Maria COOK. Unfortunately, Ancestry no long gives visitors a way to comment on uploaded trees or to contact submitters, so I can only comment here.

Sharon Butsch Free, in a database entitled, "beckywellsfamily," wrongly shows Uriah as a child of James. It does give the identity of James's first wife as Maria COOK.

"Steve," in a database entitled, "sasquier," shows Maria COOK as having married four times. First to James BYERS in 1834, with issue Mary Jane BYERS (b. 24 Jan 1837; d. 4 May 1861, Anamosa, Jones Co., IA). Second to Harmon M. BRAY (1817-1873) in 1847; no issue. Third to Andrew DIAL (c1815-1886) in 1877; DIAL's 11 children by his first wife are attached to both the first wife and to Maria. Fourth to William McCLEARY (1823-1893) in 1887 as his 3rd wife; McCLEARY's four children from his previous wives are attached both to them and to Maria.
