Thaddeus C. BRUCE
Zilpha PHILLIPS
Note:  A descendant of Thaddeus C. BRUCE has been tested for the BRUCE Y-DNA Surname Project at FamilyTreeDNA.  He is a 36/37 marker match for a descendant of George BRUCE (c1633-1692) meaning they share a fairly recent common ancestor, though a paper connection has yet to be made.  These two match no one else in the BRUCE project (as of 30 Sep 2006); thus, this BRUCE line is not a genetic match with descendants of Robert the Bruce (1274-1329), King of Scotland, who are Haplogroup R1b1.

Listed between her parents and her brother, William C. BRUCE.  It's actually unlikely that they were in separate domiciles and more likely the enumerator was mis-using the visitation numbers.
