Joel is not supposed to have died until 1861, but I can't find him in the census.  Listed four households from the MUDGE family, with whom Mary's son, Hamilton BROWN (æ 20, b. NY, servant), and possible son, George C. BROWN (æ 32, b. NY, servant), are living.
