Our subject has been equated with this John BOCK, but these data certainly don't jibe well with him being the John BOCK who married Frances STRAUB.  We can grant that Louisa died and John remarried, but in the 1910 census, John indicates he's only been married once and that still leaves the birthdates off for both John and his mother.

2a.  1880 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  John BOCK (æ 17, b. NY) is living in the Town of Gates, Monroe Co., NY (p. 107B), with his parents, George BOCK (æ 44, b. Germany) & Mary (æ 36, b. Germany), plus siblings.  I cannot find Frances STRAUB in the U.S., and I really looked.

2b.  1881 Census of Canada (online at FamilySearch.org):  The only individual in the census who could be our subject's wife is a Francis (sic) STRAUB (æ 19, b. Ontario, female, Catholic) living in Woolwich, Waterloo North, ON, Canada (p. 17), with her parents, Frances (sic) STRAUB (æ 57, b. Germany, male, Catholic) & Mary (æ 50, b. Germany, Catholic), plus 12 siblings.  However, Waterloo marriage records show a Clara Frances STRAUB who married in 1893, so she may be that woman.

Harold, Mildred, and Stella BOCK are their grandchildren, children of their daughter Anna (BOCK) WOLFE (who was born in NY, not Canada).  Lincoln BOCK is said to be — and appears from the 1910 census to be — their son, not grandson.  Daughter Susan (BOCK) MUNZINGER (æ 27, b. NY) is living in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY (p. 74B), with her husband, George MUNZINGER (æ 29, b. NY), plus two children.

7.  1930 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Frances is deceased, and I don't find John.  Daughter Susie (BOCK) MUNZINGER (æ 37, b. NY) is living in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY (p. 9B), with her husband George MUNZINGER (æ 39, b. NY), their five children, and their niece, Mildred BOCK (æ 22, b. NY).  Lincoln BOCK (æ 27, b.
