The Polly DAVIS who married Thomas ADAMS has been assumed to be the daughter of James DAVIS & Hannah RAMSEY, but might she have been the widow of Clement DAVIS

1810 Adams, Thomas KY Christian Co. p. 108 10010-0001000
These data should read:
00010-10010-00
which indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 26-44 1765-1784 = Thomas (b. 1788)
1 female 9 or under 1800-1810 = Daughter A
1 female 26-44 1765-1784 = Mary (b. ca. 1790)
Is this really our couple?  Is this census-taker error?  Both Thomas and Mary should be in the next younger age category.  Yet, they otherwise appear to be newlyweds with their first child.
