The 26 extant county censuses are: Bedford, Davidson, Dickson, Franklin, Giles, Hardin, Hickman, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Robertson, Rutherford, Shelby, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, Wilson. The 22 lost county censuses are: Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Carter, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hawkins, Hamilton, Jefferson, Knox, McMinn, Morgan, Marion, Monroe, Rhea, Roane, Sevier, Sullivan, Washington. Counties in boldface above are the ones where CUPPs appear in the 1830 census, so they may have also been here in 1820. |
