Ephraim Cheney served several enlistments in the Massachusetts militia and was at the surrender of Burgoyne. He was born in Newton, Mass., 1741; died in Brandon, Vt. James Sniffin, (1720-97), served in the New York militia and was a prisoner of war, 1778-9. He was born in Westchester Co., N. Y., where he died. Edward Cheney, (1752-1813), was a Massachusetts minute man at the Lexington Alarm under Capt. Isaac Gates. He was born in Newton, Mass.; died in Brandon, Vt. Joseph Gue served in the New York levies in the Westchester county militia under Capt. Thomas Hunt. |
