Obadiah WOODSON
Judith A. JONES
Husband:  Obadiah WOODSON
Birth:  16 Apr 1792, Prince Edward Co., VA
Death:  16 Apr 1825, Hopkinsville, Christian Co., KY (killed by Samuel GORDON, in self-defense)
Father:  Daniel WOODSON
Mother:  Elizabeth JONES
Marriage:  1817?, Buckingham Co., VA
This is a late marriage date for both of them.  Source is secondary so the date may be wrong.
Wife:  Judith A. JONES
Birth:  3 Jun 1786/7
Father:  Michael JONES, s/o Michael JONES & Anne __?__
Mother:  Leanna DIBRELL
Children:
1.  (Son A) WOODSON, b. 1810-20
2.  (Son B) WOODSON, b. 1810-20
3.  (Daughter A) WOODSON, b. 1810-20
4.  (Daughter B) WOODSON, b. 1810-20

It's very unlikely they had four children within three years of being married, though four children in ten years would be about average.  Any number of scenarios could explain the situation, but given the parent's ages, the most likely explanation is that the marriage date is wrong or that one or both of them had a former spouse.

1 white male 19-25* 1794-1801 = ?

1 white female 26-44 1775-1794 = Judith (b. 1786/7)

2 male slaves 14-25 1794-1806 = ?
*In the 1820 Census, the third column is age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25; therefore, any individual in column three is duplicated in column four.  By subtracting the number in column three from the number in column four, you can create an age class "19-25."
The male age 19-25 is too old to be a child of either Obadiah or Judith; he could be kin, hired help, or a boarder.  Considering that our subjects have three slaves, the extra white male is probably kin.  That is, they obviously have money, so they don't neet to take in boarders; and, with three slaves, it's unlikely they needed hired help.  They are listed four lines below Joseph WOODSON and one line above Elisha R. OLDHAM.
