2.  1830 Census Index and Digital Images (online at Ancestry.com; Image #1 of 5; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•
1830 OH Marion Co. Tully Twp. p. 171 Ln. 11 Simeon Vanhorn 100 010 - 000 010
These data indicate:
No. & Sex  Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 4 or under 1825-1830 = Son A
1 male 20-29 1800-1810 = Simon
1 female 20-29 1800-1810 = Catharine
Listed four lines above an elder Simeon VANHORN (000 110 010 - 000 000 010), who is almost certainly our subject's father.  Only one "Simeon" appears in the index.

These data indicate:

= Son B
1 male 10-14 1825-1830 = Son A

3 females 5-9 1830-1835 = Daughter C
= Daughter B
= Daughter A
1 female 10-14 1825-1830 = ?
1 female 20-29 1810-1820 = Catharine
1 person engaged in agriculture
Catharine appears to be fibbing about her age.  The teen-age girl was not present in the household in 1830, so she appears not to be their daughter.

4.  1850 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com; Image #12 of 21):  Dist. No. 208, Scott Twp., Sandusky Co., OH, p. 57A, 262/266, enumerated 24 Sept 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Catharine Van Horn 36 F   400 O
Mary J. Van Horn 15 F     "
Henry Van Horn 13 M     "
Aaron Van Horn 10 M     "
Martin Van Horn  6 M     "
Assuming Catharine is again fibbing about her age, which widows are very much inclined to do, then this household could be our subject.  Certainly, the children fit.  (The only VAN HORN in Sandusky Co. in 1840 was Luther VAN HORN, and he had only one female child in the household, so Catharine cannot be Luther's widow.)
