1820 OH Knox Co. Union Twp. p. 86 John Troutman 101100-20010
These data indicate:
No. & Sex  Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 9 or under 1810-1820 = Son A
1 male 16-18 1801-1804 = John? (b. 1789/90)
1 male 16-25* 1794-1804
2 females 9 or under 1810-1820 = Daughter B
= Daughter A
1 female 26-44 1775-1794 = Elizabeth? (b. 1797)
*In the 1820 Census, the third column is age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25; therefore, any individual in column three is duplicated in column four.
John and Elizabeth both appear to be tallied in the wrong columns.  Is this really our family?  Yet, who else could it be?

Geographical Note:  in 1825, Harrison Twp. was formed from Union, Morgan, and Jackson Twps.

John has been tallied in the wrong age class, yet I still think these are our subjects.

4.  Family Quest Archives:  Ohio Federal Census 1850: Knox County.  Heritage Quest CD M432-700:  Harrison Twp., Knox Co., OH, p. 408B, 2586/2648, enumerated 28 Sep 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
John Troutman 60 M Farmer 6400 Penn
Elizabeth " 52 F     Ohio
Mary      " 25 F     do
Amanda    " 18 F     do
Ellen     " 15 F     do
It is unlikely that Elizabeth was born in Ohio.  Not only was 1798 extremely early for any settler to be in Ohio, her brothers, Hartman (b. 1799) & Peter (b. 1803), were born in PA, as I believe she was, too.
