The only unmarried Elizabeth THOMPSON in the 1850 census of Bladen Co., NC, is a seven-year-old (b. 1846/7, NC) living with Thomas McLELLAND (æ 29, b. NC) and his wife, four households from Widow Piercy.  How do we know she's Piercy's daughter?  And if so, why the discrepancy in birthyears?
