THOMPSON — The Thompson family, Jesse, Anna and children: Helen, Paul, Esther, Floyd, Ruby and Harold.
Jesse Thompson and Anna Todd were born in and around El Dorado Springs, MO, 1880 and 1882. Both grew up there. Jesse and Anna were married in 1904 and moved to Gas City, KS, a suburb of Iola, KS. They moved back to El Dorado Springs area, 1906. They brought back with them a baby daughter, Helen. Soon they were on the travel again. This time to Yakima, WA. They lived on the west coast several years. Two children were born there in Yakima area, Paul and Esther. After a few years at Yakima, WA, they got a lonesome feeling for El Dorado Springs, MO, and moved back to Cedar County, MO. Floyd, Ruby and Harold were born a few miles west of El Dorado Springs, MO, on a farm. Jesse did farming for several years. He loved Music and was a wonderful vioilin player. He played for many social affais. He was happy with his violin. It was a musical home with piano, violin, banjo and guitar.
After farming for many years in Cedar and Vernon County. Jesse moved his family to Nevada, MO. There he did construction work. The children graduated from Nevada High School. Jesse passed away April 1958. Anna passed away December 1966. Son, Paul had his home in Sutherlin, OR, passed away September 1988. Daughter, Esther lived at Long Beach, CA, passed away January 1974. Son, Floyd, Costa Mesa, CA, passed away January 1986. Son, Harold, his home Kansas City, KS, passed away May 1991. Daughter, Helen lives at Long Beach, CA, in the same home for 50 yars and loves it. Daughter, Ruby lives in her lovely home in San Antonio, TX. The Thompson were always a happy and loving family. Submitted by daughter, Helen B. Hubbard.
