The "Birthplace" cannot have been the church, so my guess is this is
an error in data entry. The original film needs to be consulted,
and my guess would be that all three cheldren were christened on 13 Jan
1811. The critical point here is the mother's surname. Was
it misread or is this reading correct and the reading of the marriage record
(see previous source above) incorrect? If these christenings happened
all at once and there was one mis-reading, it's one thing. If these
were three different christenings and the name was read as "Lanford" three
different times, it definitely puts the reading of the name in the marriage
record in question. |

It appears Margaret may be fibbing about her age — or the enumerator erred.

*In the 1820 Census, the third column is
age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25, which means any
individual in column three is duplicated in column four. So,
for an accurate representation of the household, the number in column three
should be subtracted from the number in column four. If, after the
subtraction, any individuals remain in column four, then they have to be
age 19-25, thus creating a "new," more precise age class. |

Margaret appears to have shaved a few years off her age. Henry may
have also. Or are their ages simply inflated here because Margaret
is tallied as younger in 1810.

Henry's age is even more inflated, while Margaret's may be closer to the
truth.
