Simon is listed two households from Daniel & Elizabeth (HAHN) STRAUB, as he was in 1850, which indicates that Simon is still living in his own home and that Margaret and Benjamin are the newcomers.  I would have pegged Margaret for Simon's widowed daughter, except Simon had no daughter this age, so it appears the widow and her son may be hired help.
