3. A brother of Jim Spickard's has a labeled family photo of William Warren Spickard and Mary E. Taylor, so she was, indeed, his first wife. 5. Spickard Ancestors. [link died] 6. Ancestry World Trees (online at Ancestry.com): File No. F2191. This tree mistakenly has George Isaac Spickard as the father of William W. Spickard "b. 1859." George Isaac Davis Spickard is William Warren Spickard's brother, not his father. 7. LDS. Comments:
I do not know why Mary (Taylor) Spickard has two tombstones. Sometimes, if the wife and husband were buried in different places, the name of the spouse was, for sentimental reasons, put on the other spouse's tombstone or even on an adjacent stone, even though the spouse was not buried there. However, neither of these stones appears to be in conjunction with a stone for W.W. Spickard, who in any case was buried in Seattle, so I have no explanation. (It could also be a mixup in some transcriber's notes or in the process of getting the data online.) |
