Note: Although there are some descrepancies regarding Lovell's birth date and place in the two census records, given the rarity of the name and the proximity of the two counties (just across the state line from each other), it seems virtually certain that we are dealing with only one Lovell SIAS. And if they aren't the same man, we have to account for the fact that the one in Marshall Co. appeared in no other, earlier censuses. |
