The ordering of the children doesn't make sense, but it seems to suggest that Esther is Harriet's daughter from a prior marriage.  On the other hand, secondary sources say she is Chauncey & Hulda's child.  The big rub is her birth in New Hampshire, when we know they were living in Vermont.
