Thomas SHERWOOD
?Mary WHEELER? Alice SEABROOK? Mary FITCH? |
WARNING: There is a great deal about this family group sheet that does not "add up," but I'm afraid I don't have time, right now, to straighten it out. Caveat emptor! |
Husband: Thomas SHERWOOD
Birth: 1586, England Death: 21 Jul 1655, Stratford, Fairfield Co., CT Disposition: buried Fairfield, Fairfield Co., CT Other spouse: some sources say he married first Mary WHEELER Occupation: carpenter Father: Thomas SHERWOOD (1548-1632)
Thomas is said to have been born in Ipswich, SFK, but just because he disembarked from Ipswich doesn't mean he was born there or even lived there. |
Marriage-1: 21 Oct 1604, England |
Wife-1: Alice SEABROOK — some argue TILER |
Marriage-2: said to be 1641, but was she really only 12/13 yrs old when she married? Record below says she was 47 yrs old when she married, but then it would have been unusual (biologically impossible) for her to have had six more children. And if she was 47 when she married Thomas, where were the children from her previous marriage(s)? And how could she have then had a child with John Banks, when well into her 50s? Are two different Mary FITCHes being confused? |
Wife: Mary FITCH — some argue, probably incorrectly, that her
maiden name is unknown
Birth: 1628/9, Bocking, ESS Death: 1693, Rye, Westchester Co., NY Other spouse: m2. John BANKS Father: Thomas FITCH Mother: Anna REEVE |
Children with Alice SEABROOK: |

On the other hand, if you feel I've made an error, please don't hesitate to notify me, but in which case, There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page. |
