Samuel & Evelina (__?__) McCULLY are mentioned in Ellen (BRODHEAD) STROUP's will, along with Amanda (BRODHEAD) ROSE and her two sons, William and Charles, so there is some kind of kinship relationship here.  Abraham and Amanda are obviously estranged, but the big question here is whether Abraham has re-married to a much younger woman, or whether Mary is his daughter, Mary Ellen, who has simply managed to get herself enumerated twice (it happens rarely, but it does happen).  I'm assuming the latter, but that may be incorrect.

5b.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #322 of 811):  Philadelphia P.O., Philadelphia (Ward 15), Philadelphia Co., PA, Roll M653_1165, p. 323, PN 323, 1962/1969, enumerated 4 Aug 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

William  " 25 M   C???? ????     "
Ellen    " 18 F         "

This guy's handwriting was deplorable.  I give up.

6.  1870 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #19 of 180):  1439 Franklin St., Philadelphia P.O., Philadelphia (Ward 20, Dist. 65), Philadelphia Co., PA, Roll M593_1434, p. 300A, PN 19, enumerated 16 Nov 1870, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1870 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Rose Amanda 65 F W
____ William 35 M W
Moms Emma 25 F W
This enumerator took no visitation numbers; the numbers taken appear to be street numbers.  Nor did he take occupations or birthplaces; and, astonishingly, the ages were all rounded off in five-year increments.
