Unless Allen was remarkable wealthy and able to employ a lot of hired help, the makeup of this household suggests the parents of either Allen or Margaret (or both) have died, so the young adults in the household are their orphaned, unmarried siblings.  We know that Margaret's father died between 1820 and 1830, and that listed next to them is an unmarried, young adult Thomas CARRICO (æ 20-30), reinforcing that some of these may be Margaret's siblings.  I say "some" because the males in their 20s cannot be her brothers (there was only one male in the 1820 census with her parents, and he appears to be Thomas).
