5.  1850 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #48-49 of 60 — indexed "Russ"):  Town of Wesern, Oneida Co., NY, Roll M432_564, pp. 316B-317A, 342/362, enumerated 24 Sep 1850, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

Samuel    " 34 M   Blacksmith   "
Soloman   " 32 M       "
Esther    " 28 F   Farmer   "

Herbert   " 24 M       "
Catharine " 21 F       "
Sirus     " 19 M       "

Lucy Reese 15 F       NY
Herbert is clearly Herbert and is male, which is apparently in error — compare with the 1830, 1840, 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses.  And, yes, I have seen enumerators make errors this bad.  Keep in mind the enumerators were taking notes in the field, then filling in the official Population Schedules back at the county court house, with all the errors such a transcription generates.

6.  1860 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #53 of 63):  North Western P.O., Western, Oneida Co., NY, Roll M653_825, p. 557, PN 328, 2503/2539, enumerated 4 Aug 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Geo Reese 65 M   Farmer 5700 1100 New York
Samual " 46 M   Lab     "
Betsy  " 64 F         "
Esther " 35 F   Domstic     "
Polly  " 33 F   "     "
Harret " 30 F   "     "
Silas  " 28 M   Lab     "
Lucy     " 25 F   Domstic     "
Catharine " 24 F   "     "
John Statford? 35 M   Labor     England
This enumerator's handwriting was very sloppy, so it's hard to assert what anything is, but "Harret" is definitely female.

7.  1870 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Betsey REES (æ 80, b. NY) is living in Western, Oneida Co., NY (p. 547B), with the BAIRD family.  Listed next to married daughter, Polly (45, NY), who is next to Betsey's unmarried children, Samuel (56, NY), Esther (50, NY), and Harriet (40, NY).

8.  1880 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Elizabeth REES (æ 86, b. NY) is living in Western, Oneida Co., NY (p. 382C), with her married daughter, Polly (52, NY).  Listed two households from unmarried children, Samuel (66, NY), Ester (50, NY), and Harriet (48, NY).
