Mother: Delilah LINDSAY

The secondary sources all have James born in 1821, but the 1850 Census shows he was born in 1813/4, which date makes far more sense because it is extremely unlikely that he married at age 16. Also, if he died in 1863, he cannot be the father of Gordon, born in 1867.

James is said to have married Ms. GARNET in 1846 in Christian Co., KY, but clearly he did not because he is living with his first wife, Sarah, in the 1850 Census. I have yet to find a second marriage record for him.
