Samuel Porter (Samuel, John of Windsor, Connecticut), at one time a Representative, was an extensive trader with England, and a judge and sheriff of the county.  He d. 29 July 1722, leaving an estate of £10,000.
p. 805 Hopkins indicates that descendants of Capt. Aaron COOKE are eligible to join the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America.
