Marriage:
Wife:  Ms. HUTCHISON?
Birth:  bef. 1762

Said to be an aunt of President Andrew JACKSON (Jr.) through the President's mother, Elizabeth HUTCHINSON.  I have no idea whether or not this is true, but I have seen no documentation for the identity of James McBRIDE's wife.

Children:
1.  Thomas Crawford McBRIDE, b. 1777, Guilford Co., NC

Sources:

1.  Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1538-1940 (Broderbund CD-354):
Primary Individual:  James McBride
Place:  Augusta Co., VA
Year:  1764 [or] 1765
Source Name:  King, Fannie Bayly (Mrs. W.W.). "Augusta County Early Settlers, Importation, 1739-1740." In National Genealogical Society Quarterly, vol. 25: 2 (June 1937), pp. 46-50.
Source Page #:  50
Source Annotation:  Legal proceedings before Orange County Court, Virginia, where settlers proved their entitlement to enter public lands.  Also in no. 5831, Morton; no. 2302, Fry; in no. 720, Boyer, Ship Passenger Lists, the South, pp. 91-95; and in no. 9144, Tepper, New World Immigrants, vol. 2, pp. 133-135.
There were two records on the CD that were exactly the same, except for year.  I have no idea whether or not this James McBRIDE is our subject, but he could be.

"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal on a main frame." Been there; done that. Never again.
