Our subject's will names his children, at least the ones living when he signed it in 1821, but not his wife. I'm working on sorting these out, but I'm not there yet. The only piece of hard evidence possibly identifying one of his wives, is the

Said to be born in Madison Co., but it was not formed (from Culpeper) until 1793, so I'm assuming it's a guess.
Wills are sometimes proved months or even years after the death of the testator, so it cannot be assumed he died in 1823.

Ellenor is enumerated in the 1850 census (æ 93, b. VA) living with her grandson, so if she was one of our subject's wives, surely she must have been the last one.
