THOMAS3 LYON [John2, Thomas1], born at Byram, Greenwich, Conn., before 1689; died there in 1732 or 1733.  He married Rebecca, daughter of Thomas and Rebecca Hobby.  After his death she married, before Oct. 17, 1733, Samuel Banks (No. 18) as his second wife.  Thomas Lyon was mentioned in the will of his grandfather, Thomas Lyon.  He had a large tract of land in Grenwich (sic) deeded to him by his father, Feb. 8, 1713-4.  Rebecca, wife of Thomas Lyon made confession of faith in the second Congregational Church in Greenwich, Oct. 13, 1728, and her five children then living were baptized a week later.  Oct. 17, 1733 administration on the estate of Thomas Lyon was granted to Rebecca Banks who had been his widow.
