In 1644 Richard Lyon was sent from England to Cambridge by Sir Henry Mildmay as a tutor for his son William. He, however, returned soon to England.

If he came in 1644, he is not the Richard LYON who edited the Bay Psalm Book in Massachusetts in 1640.
