Alexander LYON
Judith HILL
Please Note:  our subject is being mixed up with the Alexander LYON who married Elizabeth and lastly moved to Wilkes Co., NC I give the reasons these have to be two different men on the other Alexander's page.

Some say Alexander deserted his wife and committed bigamy, so didn't die by 1810.  I haven't investigated this claim.

The most knowledgable poster appears to be J. Dresser.  In one of his messages, he states that, in the 1786 marriage bond of our subjects, William LYON of Culpeper Co., VA, gave his consent for Alexander to marry.  Alexander would not have needed his father's consent to marry if he had been 21 years of age, therefore, Alexander could not have been born any earlier than 1765 (or 1764 if he hadn't yet had his birthday by October 7th).
