Virkus states that Richard M. JOHNSON (9th Vice-President of the United States) was a son of William and Elizabeth (CAVE) JOHNSON.  Richard Mentor JOHNSON was born 17 Oct 1781, so he could not possibly be their son, but he is their grandson, son of Robert and Jemima (SUGGETT) JOHNSON.
