¹Livingston Co. was formed in 1798/9 from western Christian Co. (it was created legislatively in 1798 and organized locally in 1799).  In 1799, the Christian Co. tax book is labeled "Christian or Livingston."  The Livingston Co. tax books begin in 1800.
²"District 2" in 1799 is the southern half of Christian Co.; after 1804, District 2 was the western half of the county.
Oldham is the only HIGHTOWER on the list between 1797 and 1803.

*The county was divided into just two districts:  from 1804 to 1806, into North and South Districts; and from 1807 to 1809, into East and West Districts.
Richland Creek is a tributary of the Cumberland River, which river forms the boundary between today's Livingston and Lyon Cos.  I've never quite figured out why someone from one county would show up on the tax rolls of another county, but it does happen, and not all that infrequently.  Oldham is the only HIGHTOWER in this book.
