I could find no obvious connection between the HENDERSON family and the CULPs; yet, we have two instances of HENDERSONs living with CULPs in the 1850 census of Salt Creek Township. The older five CULP children, or at least the eldest three, appear to be those of Peter & Susanna (BRAUCHER) CULP, with whom is living a 12-yr-old Hannah HENDERSON. I cannot fathom why Peter & Susanna's children aren't living with them, nor do I have a clue who the parents of the other CULP children are (Susanna, now age 53, is too old to be their mother).
