Daughters almost invariable lived with their parents until they married, so how did Elizabeth end up married in Illinois when her father lived and died in Tennessee? And how did Francis die in Illinois before Jacob died in Tennessee? Is the deathdate of Jacob wrong? Did Jacob and Frances divorce? It's very hard to buy that they moved to Tennessee, then to Illinois, then back to Tennessee. Did Elizabeth go to Illinois to live with her brother? Elcana could not possibly have been married in 1819 in Benton Co.; Benton Co. did not exist until 1835. |
