Rebecca is said to have married John GORDON, s/o Willis GORDON, but if so, why did she use the surname HAAS in 1850 and why is she HAAS on her tombstone? Is Gideon really her son? Is he illegitimate? Listed next to Valentine's son, John HAAS.
