William GUTTERSON (I)
Ms. __?__ |
WARNING: This family group sheet is tentative. I have no proof that the William GUTTERSON who married Susannah PRESTON is the son of the William GUTTERSON who died in 1643. That there was an "inventory" in 1643 suggests there was a William GUTTERSON who had died. This man obviously cannot be the same man listed as Freeman at the 1648 town meeting (see William Gutterson (II) page). Clearly, there were two William GUTTERSONs in Ipswich at the time: the one who died in 1643 and the one who lived until at least 1648. I am not aware of any other GUTTERSON males in Ipswich at the time, so it seems at least plausible that they are father and son. |
