This page is a can of worms and, because I'm not related, I'm not going to take the time to fix it. My point in putting it online is as a WARNING to not trust anything that isn't supported by primary documentation.

1. Some say the William GRIFFIN who married Margaret CORBIN in 1725 was son of Leroy & Mary Ann (BERTRAND) GRIFFIN, but if our subject was born in 1742, he can't possibly have been married in 1725.

2. Even if we're wrong about our subject being born in 1742, if his father was born in 1711, his father can't have a son getting married in 1725.

3. Some say the William who married Susannah CHISWELL is the son of Leroy & Mary Ann (BERTRAND) GRIFFIN and some say he is the son of Walter & Dorothy (BAYLIS) GRIFFIN. I have no idea which, if either, is correct.

4. The 16-year age difference between our subject and Susannah CHISWELL makes such a marriage seem unlikely.
